A v Germany in Berlin on Wednesday 19th November 2008. A very brief trip this one. I flew out Wednesday morning with Easyjet and returned early Thursday evening, Liz went on the Thomson Sport day trip due to work commitments. We met Liz's Aunt, Uncle and Cousin who now live just outside Berlin. We left them after a nice meal and some sightseeing before heading to one of the local bars about 5.30pm------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Match - a classic 2-1 win, it probably should have been more. They only way they were going to score was if we gifted them a goal, and we certainly did that!
A few beers before and after the game - I got back to my hotel about 5am!
Thursday was spent sightseeing
First was the Fernsehturm (TV Tower)
Then the Rotes Rathaus (Town Hall), the Marienkirche (Parish Chursh) & the Library
Berlin Dom and crossing the river Spree
The Brandenburg Gate, plus the Reichstag & the Holocaust memorial

I had a 6pm flight back that evening so I left the others in an Italian restaurant and headed back to the airport. They would attempt another night out on the beer!
