Maidenhead v Aldershot (FA Cup 1) 12.11.2011
So with Brighton having yet another free Saturday and not fancying another England friendly I ventured to Maidenhead v Aldershot in the FACup 1st round. A mate got me a ticket in the Aldershot end and the game finished 1-1 after Maidenhead had taken an early lead. Aldershots reputation followed them to the game as there were many police and police horses to keep the 800 Aldershot fans in order (not that they were needed)

Burton Albion v Macclesfield 5.11.2011
Saturday 5th November
Burton Albion v Macclesfield
Some excellent beer was had from the local Burton Bridge Brewery. The Macclesfield fans tribute flag to Keith Alexander (ex manager) and Richard Butcher (player who was only 29) who both died in the last 12 months!
As Brighton had never played Burton I decided on one of our free Saturdays to head up to Burton Albion. Macclesfield were the opposition and the much better team but lost 1-0 in from of just over 2.5k people. The Macclesfield cause was not helped by the half time sub who lasted 11 seconds, yes ELEVEN seconds before being sent off for a leading elbow when going for a header!
